White-Veined Anthurium Overview

Anthurium clarinervium is an evergreen perennial foliage plant with a tropical feel. This species grows without the need for soil substrate and is thus termed epiphytic. It produces un-showy inflorescences and is grown more often for the foliage over the flowers. Leaves are heart-shaped, stiff and marked strikingly with silver-white veins across the top surface. Commonly called Velvet Cardboard Anthurium, this refers to the soft and interesting leaf texture. Flowers are discrete, arranged on spikes and surrounded by dull green coloured spathes. These lead onto large orange berry fruits. This genus is commonly grown outdoors in tropical gardens and they are prized across the world as houseplants or tender patio plants in temperate climates. With slight care and attention, you can enjoy a touch of the tropics all year round in your home!
