Pogostemon Overview

Genus with around 94 sometimes aquatic species from areas in Asia, Africa and Australia. It contains the well-known plant patchouli, Pogostemon cablin, which produces pleasantly scented foliage and is used for a variety of purposes including perfume making, incense, herbal tea and insect repellent.
