Oreocereus Overview

Oreocereus is a genus of approximately 8 perennial species of mainly columnar cacti in the Cactaceae family. these plants are native to the high altitude regions of the Andes. They have spiny, ribbed and branched stems that in some species are covered with woolly white hairs, leading to the common name old-man cactus. They produce solitary, tubular funnel-shaped flowers.
