Caspian locust Overview

This is a short broadly spreading tree about 12m high with large spines on the trunk. It will produce glossy pinnate leaves that will turn yellow in the autumn. The tiny green flowers are borne on axillary spikes up to 10cm long in the summer, and they are followed by curved twisted seed pods.
