Lady Fern Overview
Large genus of roughly 216 rhizomatous, terrestrial fern species, mostly deciduous, with some semi-evergreen. Typically found in moist woodland or forest habitats across tropical and temperate climates. They are favoured for their foliage, which may be simple, most often divided or heavily divided. This genus is best grown inside in frost-prone locations and doesn’t like to dry out. It may be grown in greenhouses or kept as houseplants. Commonly called lady-ferns.
