Anthericum Overview

Genus with less than 10 species of upright rhizomatous, herbaceous, clumping perennials. They have saucer-shaped white flowers with 6 petals arranged in a star shape and yellow anthers. It includes the species colloquially called St Bernard's lily and originates from dry, rocky environments or light woodland. This genus is cultivated for its clumping habit and delicate flowers and suits a border or rock garden well.
