Chionochloa flavescens is also well known by the name Broad-Leafed Tussock Grass. It is a perennial grass species from the Poaceae family. Native to New Zealand, this plant is difficult to identify from other species in this genus. It is a good choice for coastal plantings, coping well with dry soil. Also well suited to growing in a container, the foliage looks great cascading over a pot!
