Japanese Skimmia Overview
Skimmia japonica is an evergreen shrub from the Rutaceae family. It has an erect to dome-shaped habit. Also known by the name Japanese Skimmia, this plant produces oval to lance-shaped, lightly aromatic, dark green leaves. In spring dense panicles of fragrant, white, sometimes pink-red flushed flowers appear, which develop into red fruits on female plants.
