Nolana paradoxa 'Blue Bird' Overview

Being an annual with a dwarf, creeping habit, this species is ideal as a colourful ground cover in an open sunny position or for pots and hanging baskets. Low growing, up to 10 in (25 cm) high with a spread of 15 in (38 cm), it produces masses of trumpet-shaped, bright blue flowers, each with a pronounced white throat, over the summer. Many hybrids have evolved including 'Blue Bird', which has flowers in a rich, deep blue shade, again with the white throat.
