Coralberry Overview

Large genus of around 790 evergreen tree and shrubs, typically grown for their flowers, showy red fruits and foliage. They originate from tropical climates and are found in the Americas, Asia, Australia and the Pacific Islands. Flowers tend to be bell-shaped, with 4-5 green sepals around them and 4-5 white or pink petals. It contains a species that is one of the 50 fundamental herbs in traditional Chinese medicine.
