Car park ticket machine only seems to work with cash at £3 for the day so ensure you bring the correct change (£4 for weekends). Plenty to do as the weather was good. Children's zoo could do with having more pets (no pot bellied pigs and the red squirrels were in hiding). But overall a very pleasurable day. Plenty of room for games, sports and outdoor activities. Long wait to be served at the cafe so bring your own food and drinks.

An amazing family day out!
The park has so much more things in it than any I've been to before, really unusual play equipment.
The mini zoo is free!! And the kids love it.
3 rides for 2-4 pound each and a train that goes around the park 2 pound also.
The lake has turtles that come up to the railing so you can stroke them.
A lovely setting for a walk or an adventure.
There is a cafe here too that serves a decent range of lunches.
A small art gallery where you can buy paintings and 2 gift shops to buy the prettiest of items such as fairy doors and dream catches.
Would highly recommend coming here with the little ones.

Always so busy park has too many people on think it needs limiting. Zoo numbers handled well and the heritage cafe food is amazing. Maybe could do with better ordering system though because the queue gets very long with only one in one out
Absolutely love this place. We visited here 5 years ago when looking for a wedding venue. Didn't end up getting married here and as much as we loved our wedding venue, we do wish we had opted for this place. We visited again last week and the place is even more beautiful than we remember. Lovely gardens, great play areas for kids, nice little animal section and we loved the train ride. Will definitely be returning!
Spent the afternoon with an eager 6 yr old playing the mini adventure golf - £11 for a round isn’t too bad but it was busy and we had to wait whilst other families took their turn. It was a sunny day though so was to be expected. Some holes needed attention and fixing here and there and there was no guide as to how many shots each should take if you wanted to compare your own skills with the par of the course. Gardens are well maintained and there was even a little fun fair for the kids to use. Didn’t get to the zoo but the parking charges are reasonable (£3 I think it was for the whole day).
