Stylish residential garden with National Corokia Collection.
About Mona's Garden
Have you ever wondered what your neighbour’s back garden looks like? Well, at Mona’s Garden in north London, the owner has opened up her enviably luscious 100m plot – much to the delight of curious curtain twitchers everywhere.
Located between leafy Highgate and Muswell Hill but channelling balmy Meditteranean vibes, Mona’s Garden immerses visitors in a riot of colour, texture and contrasting foliage. Prepare to leave your stresses (and Plant Heritage donation) at the front door and be swept down a meandering path hemmed by generous borders full of towering grasses and bamboos underplanted with perennials.
Home to the Corokia National Collection, a drought-tolerant plant native to Australasia and a striking mix of plants hailing from the Southern Hemisphere, it’s easy to see why Mona’s was voted ‘Best Back Garden’ by the London Gardens Society. The only downside is you’ll leave with serious back garden envy.
