About Harlaxton Manor Gardens

With French terraces, an Italian garden, a Dutch canal and even an observatory, the formal gardens beside Harlaxton Manor are a feast for the senses. Manicured lawns, blooming flowers and sculpted trees decorate the rolling hills that wrap around the manor which creates a spectacular backdrop.
The gardens also include an incredible 19th century conservatory where orange trees and tropical plants grow, some of which were donated by the Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew.

August garden openings

You are invited to join us for a special series of garden events over two weekends, Saturday and Sunday 14th-15th and 21st-22nd August. Visitors can walk the length of the manor driveway, past the gatehouse, to explore the manor’s formal gardens, and newly opened Gold Room from 10 am – 4 pm.
Both days, Saturday or Sunday, will provide visitors access to all our gardens, as well as our conservatory and gold room. However, guests will be able to enjoy two very different days at the manor over the weekends. With Saturdays laid out for children's activity, games, and entertainment, while Sundays are a much more relaxed experience for those looking for a quiet retreat.
Saturday sports and games
Our two Saturday open days are perfect for family visitors looking to burn off some energy in our beautiful garden spaces. Whilst the adults can enjoy the best that our refreshments and catering can offer in the Gold Room and Conservatory, the kids will be able to explore our grounds with many games and activities set up in the gardens.
Relaxing Sundays
For those looking for a quieter walk on a lazy Sunday, the gardens will be open, offering some relaxing music and scenery for guests to explore. Our Gold Room and Conservatory will also be offering afternoon tea refreshments, cakes, and drinks to sit and enjoy in the beautiful summer weather, either outside or in our famous 19th Century Conservatory.
