Colourful cottage garden with ponds and arboretum.
About Spring Pond Garden
Situated just a mile from the popular Hardy’s Cottage Garden Plants nursery, this lavishly planted residential cottage garden is designed around two ponds, with a formal structure of hornbeam and yew hedging. Created from scratch over two decades ago by its current owners, Spring Pond is the perfect place to come for planting inspiration, with vibrant borders packed with colour.
Alongside the main garden are a small arboretum filled with ornamental trees and a conservatory, which is home to tropical and Mediterranean plants. The formal pond is surmounted by an impressive gazebo, while the more naturalistic second pond is edged by marginal planting including beautiful Hostas, Bistort and Primula.
