Cryptanthus bromeliads, more commonly known as earth stars due to rosette-shaped arrangement of the leaves and their low growth habit, are beautiful and incredibly varied plants native to Brazil.
Best located in bright indirect light, can also handle some degrees of shade but more light will bring out it's pink variegation more.
Keep the soil evenly moist but be careful not to waterlog the soil. Pretty forgiving if you miss a watering now and then.
Being a tropical jungle plant this one prefers more humid environment. Makes a great terrarium plant!
