Pilea peperomioides ‘Mojito’ is a rare and relatively new variety of the popular Chinese Money Plant. Its leaves are speckled with striking lime patches.
These plants are fairly easy to propagate and I have had a very high success rate using water on leaf cuttings (with stem) to produce baby plants.
A variety of cuttings are available; see my shop for more:
- Unrooted cuttings include the leaf, petiole and a woody piece of stem (necessary for producing a new plant). These should root and produce new leaves within one to two months.
- Rooted cuttings include the leaf, petiole and a woody piece of stem. These have already been water propagated and have roots; they can continue to be propagated in water or soil, depending on your preferred method, until a new plant appears.
- Pups are baby plants from the Mojito mother. These will need to be rooted in either water or soil. The new leaves are already established and showing that signature Mojito variegation.
Your new plants will be posted to you via Royal Mail first class signed for. I can also offer pick-up for London fringe/Surrey locals - do get in touch if this would be helpful.
