Douglas Fir Overview
Pseudotsuga menziesii is an evergreen tree species in the Pinaceae family of plants. It grows quickly, forming a conical shape made up of linear leaves which are needle-like in their appearance and arranged in two ranks. The bark develops a rough texture and becomes thicker with age. Cones measure up to 10cm in length and they are surrounded by showy modified leaf structures, termed bracts.
