Candelabra Primula Overview

Primula beesiana is a herbaceous perennial species in the Primulaceae family. This fully hardy plant produces beautiful bright purple-pink blooms in a whorled arrangement on tall stem, typically between 4-6 blooms. It is commonly known by the names Bee's Primrose and Candelabra Primrose. The flowers measure approximately 2cm in diameter and they are tubular in shape. This species typically grows to around 60cm in height, foliage is produced in a flat rosette, crinkle leaves leave up to 20cm in length are egg-shaped and narrow near the base. This species has earnt a Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit.
