This shade-loving, herbaceous perennial is termed a substantial plant by the Royal Horticultural Society. It produces large, almost completely circular leaves measuring around 90cm wide. Maximum size is around 1.5m high and this plant can reach 8m across if given the space to spread. It produces creamy-white, spherical flowerheads on vertical stems at a height of around 30cm.
