Chatham Island Forget-Me-Not Overview
The sole species in the genus Myosotidium. It is endemic to the Chatham Islands, New Zealand where it is found near the coast. Also known as the giant forget-me-not, this species of herbaceous perennial has fleshy leaves and characteristically forget-me-not-like blue flowers, with white forms also popular in cultivation. They can be either grown under glass or outside if given gritty, well-drained soils in part-shade.
