These easy to grow annual's flower all summer into autumn with brilliant red flowers. Preferring free draining sites they thrive in full sun and are a useful addition to summer bedding.

Sow directly where they are to flower in spring, or late summer for overwintering. Sow 3mm deep in rows 30cm apart into soil which has been well prepared and raked to a fine tilth. Germination time varies according to weather. Once germinated thin seedlings to 15cm spacing. Acclimatise and plant out once danger of frost has passed. For summer sown seeds overwinter in cool frost free conditions and plant out the following spring.
