Rose Mallow Overview

Annual species that grows to around a metre tall and around half a metre wide. It has rounded foliage with shallow lobes and funnel-shaped, pink, occasionally white flowers measuring 10cm across. The flowers are attractively veined on the throat, in darker pink. Cultivars have been bred with smaller, more compact growth habits. Previously known as Lavatera trimestris, this plant's name change was announced by NATAG (RHS Nomenclature and Taxonomy Advisory Group) in the June 2021 edition of The Plant Review.
