White Bleeding Heart Overview
Lamprocapnos spectabilis 'Alba' is a low maintenance plant that forms a mound of foliage and arching stems bearing heart-shaped flowers in spring and early summer. The species was Lamprocapnos spectabilis reclassified in the 1990's from Dicentra to Lamprocapnos, but it is still widely referred to by this historic genus name, Dicentra spectabilis 'Alba'. This cultivar produces attractive heart-shaped white flowers, it is commonly known as White Bleeding Heart.
