Spanish Bluebell Overview
Hyacinthoides hispanica is a bulbous perennial in the Asparagaceae family, commonly known by the name Spanish Bluebell. It grows to a height of around 40cm, producing glossy green, strap-shaped leaves. Flower spikes bear with beautiful blue, bell-shaped flowers in spring. The flowers have blue anthers and this species has a clumping to tufted habit.
