Scarlet-Flowered Avens Overview
This is a clump-forming, deciduous perennial. It has upright, softly hairy, pinnate basal leaves which are divided into kidney-shaped, dark green leaflets. In late spring to late summer it produces cymes of orange or red flowers with spreading petals and prominent, yellow stamens.
