Euonymus 'Kathy' Overview

Euonymus japonicus 'Kathy' is a beautiful variegated shrub that is ideal for almost any site. The dark-green oval leaves fade to light green with creamy-white tips and margins, providing all-year-round colour and interest. They prefer a sunny area but will tolerate shades. Also known as Japanese Spindle 'Kathy', this plant can sometimes be found listed as Euonymus fortunei 'Kathy' or just Euonumys 'Kathy'. Preferring a sunny spot in sheltered locations, this evergreen will grow in most soil conditions. New stems and foliage can appear without any variegation, prune these out completely. If being grown as a hedge or screen, these plants can be clipped after the last frost, and again in late summer. It is good practice to mulch and feed plants after pruning.
