Overview

Euonymus fortunei ‘Emerald Gaiety’ is a small, bushy evergreen shrub which will climb if planted against a wall. It has rounded leaves, with irregular white margins that tinge pink in winter. It rarely flowers. Awarded a Golden Merit by the Royal Horticultural Society, this favoured cultivar of Euonymus fortunei, or Spindle, can brighten up a shady corner. Preferring poor soil and a sunny position, it also does well in partial shade. It needs little maintenance so is a popular choice for busy gardeners!
