Smoke Tree 'Royal Purple' Overview

Cotinus coggygria 'Royal Purple' is a large, deciduous shrub cultivar from the family. It has a bushy habit and can grow up to 5m in height and spread. Commonly known by the names Smoke Bush 'Royal Purple' and Smoke Tree 'Royal Purple'. It produces deep purple, rounded leaves which display attractive autumn colouration, getting redder in the autumn. Flowers are pink and feathery, hence the common name Smoke Bush. This cultivar has earnt a Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit.
