This upright, deciduous shrub has large, ovate green leaves which turn shades of yellow, orange and red in the autumn. It's bare winter stems are pale yellow with red tops. In summer it produces flat, dense clusters of creamy-white flowers which develop into blue-black fruit.
Stems can be taken for flower arrangements.
Take hardwood cuttings in autumn.
