Shrubby Senecio Overview

This species has been known by the name Scenico greyii in the past. It is now known as Brachyglottis 'Drysdale'. This compact, woody, evergreen shrub produces attractive oval, silver-white to grey-green foliage with white undersides and scalloped leaf edges. It also produces profuse abundances of yellow, daisy-like flowers which are larger than the related cultivar 'Sunshine'. This plant is a cultivar from New Zealand bred from the Dunedin Group of hybrids where are derived from Brachyglottis greyi, Brachyglottis laxifolia and Brachyglottis compacta. This cultivar is well suited to planting in a Mediterranean garden.
