The Bergenia cordifolia is a evergreen rhizomatous perennial that has large leaves that are leathery in texture and rounded with deep veins. They grow to around 30cm long and can turn to a purple tinge in the winter. The flowers grow on erect stems that reach 60cm tall, they grow in clusters in bell-shapes. This certain plant has either pink or white flowers that come out during the spring months.
