Parodia Overview

Parodia is a genus containing 63 species of perennial cacti in the Cactaceae family. These plants produce clusters of rounded, ribbed and spiny stems and funnel-shaped flowers, opening from often woolly buds at the apex. Native to upland regions of South America they vary from small, ground-hugging plants to 1m high columnar species. In cultivation they are usually grown under glass.
