Cypress Overview

This is a low branching tall tree which will thrives in seaside conditions and will become sculpted into a beautiful, windswept form by the constant coastal breeze. The clustered nut-like cones are decorative and the foliage is aromatic.

Seed

Propagate by seed sown in autumn or spring (but forms selected for leaf colour do not come true).

Cuttings

Evergreen current growth cuttings in autumn to spring. Deciduous softwood cuttings in summer.

Hedging, specimen, coastal garden. Year-round interest. Suitable for coastal conditions.
