Many-leaved aloe, Spiral aloe
Compact evergreen perennial species with striking, spiralling foliage. The most striking feature of this Aloe species is its regular leaves arranged in a spiral rosette. The species is highly sought after as an ornamental, but is difficult to cultivate and is difficult to maintain outside its natural habitat. Leaves are fleshy and edged in pale green to white spines, with a single, brown spine at their tips. Flowers are tubular and produced on a branched inflorescence, they vary in colour but are most often pink-red with green-yellow tips.
