Mesembryanthemum cordifolia, formerly Aptenia cordifolia, is an evergreen, succulent groundcover or creeping perennial plant in the Aizoaceae family. It is easy to care for, thriving in hot, dry, sunny areas. It grows quite slowly and makes a beautiful container plant and it is commonly known by the name Baby Sun Rose. Also known as Heart-Leaf Ice Plant, this species produces glossy succulent leaves and bright magenta-pink flowers. It is attractively placed cascading down a wall or hedge.
