The profusion of purple, lavender and white flowers which cover this bush from early spring through summer, together with its intoxicating fragrance make this a popular shrub. It is virtually disease free and requires little maintenance besides regular watering and monthly fertilizing. An added bonus is that it attracts butterflies to the garden.
Pick fragrant flowers when open to fill a room with it's wonderful scent.
Take 10 cm cuttings of new growth in spring. Dip into hormone rooting powder. Plant in compost rich soil in a pot and place in bright filtered light. New growth should appear in four to six weeks.
