Bloodoranges 'Torocco' Overview
Bloodoranges are an unusual red flesh colored orange. The red color comes from an pigment, anticytokinine, also in red cabbage, blueberries and red apples and is a strong antioxidant, making the fruit superior in health benefits. Sometimes the seedless fruit will have a red blushed skin too. Torocco is the most common orange grown in Italy and derived from a mutation of other bloodoranges.
