Cape Ebony Overview

National tree of South Africa for 2017(rare trees), this tree can often only grow to shrub size depending on the climate. Dark strong wood make it suitable for carpentary, although sizes are usually small and more often used for fire wood. Sometimes an untidy tree, but can grow very old and is very waterwise - do consider planting it in your garden!
