Peach 'Rich Lady' Overview

Rich Lady peaches produce fruit with a single stone. Rich Lady is red with yellow flesh. Due to this cultivar having very high colour before maturity, fruit can often be picked immature. Special attention should be given to ensure the ground colour has changed from green to golden and the fruit is filled out and resulting in a smooth skin. This peach was remarkable when introduced and still one of the best in its season. Flavour and flesh firmness and colour are excellent.

Common problems with Peach 'Rich Lady'

Peaches struggle with curly leaf. Spray the trees when they are dormant with lime sulfur and when the blossoms start with a copper spray before rainy weather. Keep on doing this weekly until all the leaves are out or the tree is in 50% flower. Some susceptibility to bacterial spotting.
