Groundsel Overview

Ligularia is a genus of over 150 species of herbaceous perennials in the Asteraceae (Asteraceae) family. This genus originates from Central and Eastern Asia, with some species from Europe. In their native habitat they are found in damp areas. They are robust plants with typical daisy-like composite flower heads usually in shades of yellow, orange and brown. Some species are grown as garden ornamentals for their showy flowers and attractive lobed leaves. They need moist soil in order to thrive.
