Magnolia x soulangeana 'Red Lucky'

This upright to spreading deciduous tree has an open-branched habit and ovate to elliptic, mid-green leaves. Attractive, ornamental flowers appear in spring, usually before leaves develop and again in late summer. They are large, fragrant, cup-shaped, white flowers which are heavily flushed with deep pink on the outside of the petals. Originating from Hong Yun in China, this species is not a common find.
