Genus consisting of roughly 37 deciduous or evergreen flowering shrubs and trees known commonly as beebrushes. They have aromatic foliage and small, attractive flowers spaced out on short equal stalks in clusters of 3-6, on a central stem. Native to America, they like dry and rocky soil and should be grown in glasshouses or in well-sheltered warm spots if there is the possibility of frost.
