Thalictrum is a genus containing around 157 herbaceous perennial plants also known as meadow rue. They produce divided, glaucous blue-green foliage and petalless, fluffy sprays of tiny flowers with many long stamens. These are usually pink, purple or white. This genus does not have the clearest of boundaries and is in need of further taxonomic study.
