Japanese Maple 'Azuma Murasaki' Overview
This Japanese Maple has distinctive 7-9 lobed, deeply divided, palmate, serrate leaves which are narrowly pointed and slightly curved. Foliage emerges yellow-orange, turning deep green washed with burgundy and then bright crimson. The name means 'Purple of the East'. Fruit (winged samara) and leaf stems are bright crimson.
