Phlebodium aureum 'Blue star' is a tender, epiphytic fern cultivar with a creeping habit. It is part of the Polypodiaceae family and commonly known by the names Hare's Foot Fern 'Blue Star' and Rabbits Foot Fern 'Blue Star', amongst others. It produces attractive arching, pinnate fronds that are a blue-green colour with distinctive yellow-orange, raised spore cases on the underside. This easy to grow fern is popular in cultivation as an ornamental garden plant for indoor or outdoor sites. They prefer a moist, shady location but can tolerate sun if given sufficient moisture.
