Deciduous twining climber species with a vigorous growth habit. This plant is typically grown for its attractive foliage. It produces ovate leaves, coloured green with silver at the tips, this silver develops into a very attractive pink colouration with maturity. Flowers are white and cup-shaped, with male and female flowers produced on individual plants. These develop into green, oval-shaped, edible fruits.
