Abies nordmanniana is an evergreen conifer from the Pinaceae family. It forms a narrow, conical or columnar crown, with dense, glossy dark green foliage on downward sweeping branches. Seed cones are green or reddish with protruding bracts, developing to a brown colour with age. This Fir is often planted to replace the disease-prone Silver Fir.
