Abelia 'Gold Spot' Overview
Linnaea × grandiflora 'Gold Spot' is a hybrid plant cultivar created from a cross between the species L. chinensis and L. uniflora, all of which have been reclassified. Historically they were included in the genus Abelia and this name is still commonly used. They are cultivated for their attractive foliage and profusion of flowers. This semi-evergreen cultivar has light green leaves with golden central markings. Some leaves can have a yellow tinge to them, especially as the autumn comes around. Flowers are pale pink with a mild fragrant scent.
