Ice Plant Overview

Argyroderma congregatum is a perennial succulent species in the Aizoaceae family. Originating from South Africa, this plant has a compact, dwarfed habit and tends to branch at the base, producing paired leaves. The leaves are smooth, rounded, fleshy, grey-green in colour and the leaf pairs are joined at the base. Showy, single, stalked, daisy-like, yellow blooms are produced in the winter. The flowers are photosensitive, opening in response to the midday sun and closing in the evening.
