Small prostrate or scrambling herbaceous perennial plant growing 8-15cm tall. It has pretty small blue flowers that flower for a long time, making this indigenous to South African plant popular in hanging baskets and in summer flower beds. Although perrenial in nature, it is replanted every year in gardens and treated as an annual.

Fruits are 5-8mm capsules containing numerous seed.
Sow seed directly in flower beds outside in Autumn or in sandy soil mix in seed trays.
Does better indoors in cold areas as it is not tolerant to frost.
Does well in hanging baskets, pots, flower boxes and in window boxes.
